You may notice some construction activity around our Village! We are making improvements to the water system, to include a new Well #5 with wellhouse building, taking offline and abandoning Well #3, and construction of 5,800 feet of watermain. Funding for this project is provided by a low-interest loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s Public Water Supply Loan Program (PWSLP). The PWSLP is funded by both state and federal resources. The $3,531,145.75 loan comes with a principal forgiveness grant of $1,059,343.73 that will reduce the loan and has an interest rate of 1.62% to be repaid over 30 years.
